Tech Organizations

Louisiana Technology Council (LTC)

In 1994, a number of large companies came together to form a technology council for the New Orleans area. The founders felt that a strategy to build a technology component for the New Orleans economy was important and necessary in moving the region into the 21st Century. As a result, the Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) originally known as the New Orleans Technology Council (NOTC) was created as a private not for profit 501(c) organization . Several large major organizations along with the University of New Orleans and the City of New Orleans were its original founders.

Louisiana Internet Software & Technology Association (LISTA)

In 2008, the founders of LISTA had one important goal in mind: help transform Louisiana into the Digital Interactive Media capitol. It was time that Louisiana stopped losing its highly educated technology workforce to other states that had “better” job opportunities. Louisiana had to show the rest of the country and the world that technology companies were welcomed in the state and encouraged to make Louisiana their home. LISTA’s founders knew that to achieve this goal a lot of good things would have to happen. Louisiana would have to give technology companies a reason to consider the state.
