SXSW NOLA 2010 Central – NOLA Panel

We are proud to announce that from over 2,300 proposals submitted to the SXSW Interactive PanelPicker this year one of our own was accepted in the first round.
And not only that, but according to the official SXSW panel tag cloud the word ‘Community’ was the number one most referenced category used in these proposals.
We take this as confirmation that all of YOUR efforts are being recognized and that YOUR voices from the local New Orleans tech community are indeed being heard.
So we hope you will join us in supporting a few of our own at SXSW this year presenting:
The panel is a case study of how the #sxswnola or ‘NOLA <3 SXSW’ bus trip helped to galvanize a community and inspire members from all disciplines to work together to promote New Orleans from a grass-roots level.
They hope to investigate some of the challenges involved in sustaining such an ‘organic’ movement, highlight some of our successes and discuss some of our failures. They hope to answer questions like “What can be done to create momentum and gain new voices in the community?”, “How do you measure and gauge success? ” and probably most importantly, “How can you, as an individual, help evolve the community? ”
Panelists include:
Damien LaManna, co-founder of Net2No
Christopher Boudy, Sr., co-fouder of NewOrleansTech.net
Tiffany Starnes, co-organizer of TribeCon and Social Media Club of New Orleans
Chris Schultz, co-founder of Launch Pad
Matthew Tritico, co-organizer of BarCampNola
