Saints Twitter Hashtag Roundup

Comments

The NFL has been flexing its muscles lately most notably in the Fleurty Girl fiasco, we first reported on a couple weeks ago, that ended with the NFL’s tail between its legs. Since they couldn’t have Who Dat! with a hashtag or not they want you to tag your tweets with #SB44. With 140 characters there may not be room for #SB44 since the New Orleans twittersphere has far better and more creative hashtags than the corporate promoted hashtag the NFL will possibly use for analysis and market research.

The only thing more ridiculous than the NFL’s claim to Who Dat is the creativeness of the twitter hashtags that will be seen Super Bowl Sunday. New Orleans Tech technical editor/co-founder Chris Boudy (@chrisboudy) is probably one of the most unabashed Saints fans on twitter and while he may not be the originator of all the hashtags the frequency at which he uses them is astounding and down right annoying if you follow him on twitter whenever the Saints are playing. Using search.twitter.com I rounded up some of the hashtags you should expect to see during tomorrows big game with an obnoxious frequency.

Saints Hashtags

Saints Hashtags

First we have your standard hashtags that any Saints supporter will use and you will see these from people who have never been to New Orleans but love the Saints just the same.

#Saints #GoSaints #WhoDat #demSaints

Then you will see the tried and true Saints fans who have been fans since Schwegmann was in business and watched the Who Dat dog video more than once.

#GeauxSaints #OhIBelieve #BlessUBoys #BlackandGoldSuperbowl and maybe #InDatNumber #geauxblkngld

Finally you will see tweets from the twitter experts who still shop at Breaux Mart, get their fresh seafood from the Westwego Market, and swear by Plum St. snowballs

#WhoDatNation #ChiChing #HaveFaith #SaintsSwag #SuperbowlMombo #TomBensonWhereUAt #ThowIt2Sharper #RunReggieRun #BreesusIsMyHomeboy #SupaBeauxl

The Saints Super Bowl berth is probably the biggest thing in New Orleans sports history. If the Saints win it will be the biggest thing since the Louisiana Purchase and you can expect Saints fans to come up with some #2point0Saints hashtags like #SuperGrasSunday #hurricaneWhoDat to annoy and entertain you from Super Bowl Sunday to the Saints parade on Tuesday.

Feel free to use any of these hashtags for the big game or let us know if you have any in the comments.
