On 12 March, In a bus slightly better than an RTA city bus, a New Orleans delegation will roll to Austin, TX for the 2010 South-by-Southwest (SXSW) Interactive conference. The krewe, comprised of technology entrepreneurs based in the Greater New Orleans area, will attend the conference to minister on a national stage that Louisiana is a simmering interactive media location primed for for a technology boom. The trip will also serve as a networking event for the attending.

To the uninitiated SXSW  Interactive (SXSWi) is a week long interactive media focused event preceding the legendary SXSW music festival. SXSWi will offer presentations, showcases, and networking events hosted by industry leader. SXSWi puts investors and idea men, novice and experienced entrepreneurs in the same room  to the benefit of online media.

If the title SXSW interactive was not telling enough, it is not a passive experience. To get the most out of attendance you have to be engaged. New Orleans will be well represented in a featured panel focused on the New Orleans new media community and the Louisiana digital media tax incentives titled Uprising Tide: Inciting Online Communities into Offline Movements. Picked from 2,300 panel submissions Damien LaMannaChristopher BoudyTiffany StarnesChris Schultz, and Matthew Tritico will bring their celebration of the grass-roots tech evolution in New Orleans to the masses.

You can expect NewOrleansTech.Net, as the official #nolasxsw media sponsor, to deliver all the details about the trip, select panels, presentations, and the overall NOLA experience at SXSWi.  Details about the trip can be found by clicking the peel-away in the upper right hand corner of the page.
